Faculty workshop to implement quantitative skills modules for majors-level geoscience courses

This registration is for undergraduate instructors* interested in integrating more math skills and data analysis into their undergraduate Earth science courses.

  • Virtual workshop Mon-Thur July 14-17, 2025 - 1-3pm ET daily.
  • Registration: $40 - SPACE LIMITED - REGISTER NOW - Deadline June 14, 2025
  • $400 stipend** upon completion of full 8-hour workshop (and ~1 hour prep).

This workshop is part of the The Math Your Earth Science Majors Need project (NSF-IUSE 2234225).

*Although the primary audience is current undergraduate instructors, graduate students and postdocs interested in undergraduate teaching, are also welcome.

**To earn a stipend, participants must be a US citizen, a permanent resident, or in the employ of a US institution. We look forward to seeing you at the 2025 NSF GAGE/SAGE Community Science Workshop. This workshop brings together scientists and students with a focus on geophysical research of processes in the solid earth, cryosphere, oceans, atmosphere, and beyond. It highlights synergies between the geodetic and seismic research communities in furthering our understanding of Earth Science, including impacts on society.   

Registration will open on Monday, March 3rd at 12:00AM EST and close on Friday, May 9th at 11:59PM EST. Please make sure register before the deadline date. Please note: we may not be able to accommodate your dietary restriction(s) if you are registering after April 29th.
